The Parallel Processing Principles Group at UIUC is led by professor Marc Snir.

Our research interest is various aspects of parallel computing and parallel architecture. Our work in parallel processing includes

• Parallel programming patterns
• Semi-automated, run-time program tuning
• Benchmark and performance modeling.

We also work in parallel architecture areas including

• Interconnection networks
• Near memory processing.
